What Is Happening To The World...?

Remember the 'good old days' when as kids you could run down the the local reserve and play with the neighborhood kids? As long as you had done your Saturday morning jobs, you could hang out with your mates and your parents didn't need to worry about you as long as they knew where you were? You were able to play down at the local park with the other kids until dinner time (especially in daylight saving time in the summer!), and you didn't have to worry about some pervert trying to kidnap you or rape you.

Remember the days where, at 11 years old, you thought the opposite sex still had germs and you were quite happy playing with your dolls or teaching your siblings while you were the 'school teacher'? Remember when you could hang out by the letterbox and play around in your pj's on the summer evenings waiting for the milk man to come by and deliver milk?

I remember all these times when I was a kid - which really, isn't too long ago! But haven't things changed! Hasn't this world changed! I would never leave my kids to play at the local reserve now until all hours... these days there are too many rapes, too many beatings, too many senseless murders and robberies.

Dating now seems to start at 11 years old, teenage pregnancy's are on the rise, abortion is used as the easy way out, drugs run rampant in schools and now, we as parents, are being told we are no allowed to smack our children when they do wrong!!

What is wrong with the world now? I worry about the future of my children because of it.
