Bad Temper?... Or Normal Toddler Behaviour?

I have come to notice something about my boy of late. If he's upset or just woken up, or generally a lot of the time actually, he's started to punch/push with a closed fist. I say 'push' because its not a "hit" as such - it's more of a "get outta my way" sort of thing. I don't like it and it almost comes across as a violent type of behaviour.

Most of the time, this will be when he's not in the mood for cuddles, or if you give him attention (especially positive attention), it's almost like a rebellion! lol I guess my main concern is that I don't want it developing into something more serious as he gets older. I think if he's feeling rebellious, then he needs to find another way to vent that.

Not sure about this one - but it's not acceptable so we shall just have to find a way to deal with it. It could just be a boy being a boy. Maybe it's an age thing? He's 2 1/2 right now. Hopefully it's something he grows out of!

He's not like that all the time, and sometimes he can be so very cuddly... albeit not very often these days! haha But I have a soft spot for my boy... he probably gets away with more around me than he does with his Dad! But the best times with my boy are in the early evening - just before dinner he gets quite cuddly, and then when he goes to bed...! He loves his cuddles before he nods off to sleep!

Ah kids are wonderful... you know, they can be the biggest brats but at the end of the day we'd go to the ends of the earth for them wouldn't we?! I know I would ;)
